Police woman calls Wa natives ‘fools, criminals’

Residents of Wa in the Upper West Region are threatening mayhem against a female police officer identified as Corporal Believe Amedzro for describing them as "fools and criminals".

The police officer who used the abusive words for the residents on her Facebook Wall on Tuesday, March 4, further referred to the forefathers of the locals as criminals.

Her comments were in response to the reaction of some residents who had expressed anger at the police in the region for shooting a motor rider in the town last Saturday.

Her response has not gone down well with the locals who have vowed to take action against her in their own way. Others have also requested for her immediate transfer from the Municipality.

Meanwhile, the regional Police Commander has issued an apology to the natives on the officer's behalf and said she will be investigated.
